FACEBOOK GROUP PAGE: Join our private Facebook Group to watch meetings when you cannot attend. These events will air live and be posted on the site for viewing later (find them under Media then click on Videos.
To find group pages click on the outline picture of a group of people in the tool bar. Search for Prairie Piecemakers Fremont Quilt Group.
Ask to “Join Group”. If you have paid your dues, you will get a notice that you are accepted.
Get notices about special activities, volunteer opportunities, and meeting reminders or cancellations.
Participate in the Block of the Month challenge by Scott Flanagan. This twelve-month project runs September to September with the reveal in October. To find past pattern posts, go to File on the toolbar.
GUILD MEETINGS: Held on the last Monday of: August, September, October, November, January, February, March and April
LOCATION: First Lutheran Church 3200 E. Military Ave. , Fremont, Ne. 68025
MEETINGS/PROGRAMS: Begin at 7:00 P.M. Refreshments are served at 6:30 P.M. prior to meeting/program start-time.
Cancellations of meetings:
If Fremont Schools are closed, there will be no meeting.
Phone tree calling will be done by small groups to their members.

Prairie Thread Newsletters
Published six to eight times each year, arriving about one week before Guild meeting.
Email delivery when available to defray cost of mailing.
Refreshments are served before meeting beginning at 6:30 PM. First person on the hostess list each month is the chairperson. Chairperson will contact the other hostesses and plan and serve the refreshments for the month.
Hostess committee is responsible for:
Snacks, cups, napkins, plates and utensils as needed. Table covering or any decorations you want.
Members will bring their own beverage in a spill-proof container.
Greeters
Welcome members, new members and guests at the door each meeting
Door Prizes
Prizes should be related to quilting or sewing
Prize value should be approximately $10.00
Quilt Show
Show held every other year to showcase members' quilts and needlework
Show is a two-day event, but venue needs to be reserved for se up (Wed. thru Sat.)
Includes: lunch, a silent auction, raffle quilt, vendor mall, mini raffle
Avoid scheduling same weekend as Threads Across Nebraska event (2nd week of October)
International Quilt Museum
The museum's mission is to build a global collection and audience that celebrate the cultural and artistic significance of quilts.
Located on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's East Campus at 33rd and Holdree Street, Lincoln, NE.
The museum has the world's largest publicly held quilt collection, dating from the early 1700's to present, and represents more than 50 countries. Includes quilts gifted by Byron and sara Dillow Estate.
Sara was the first president of Prairie Piecemakers.
Community Service information
Items collected at each meeting will be donated in support of various local organizations.
School donations include Fremont Schools and Arlington Schools
Monthly service project listed in yearbook.
Small Groups
Groups work on individual, group and community projects of their choice
Groups meet outside of regular meeting times, many groups meet in homes

Nebraska State Quilt Guild The Nebraska State Quilt Guild was formed by the same group of ladies who started Prairie Piecemakers. Quilt Nebraska is held yearly in July and consists of workshops, lectures, and fellowship. An annual quilt show called Threads Across Nebraska is held on the second weekend of each October.
