March 28, 2022 -- Embracing the Fabric Stash and Other Things I've Learned While Studying Quilters by Marybeth Stalp, PhD, Professor of Sociology, University of Northern Iowa Dr. Stalp shared her insights and observations from her 25+ years of research experience with US quilters. Focusing on present-day quilters she help people understand why and how people quilt, collect fabric, stash (and sometimes hide it) making quilting a billion-dollar industry. She shared her own quilt creations spanning from her 4-H years through college and her academic career.
February 28, 2022 The Paper Chase – Connie's Judy Neimeyer Quilts by Connie Lange, Norfolk Connie inherited her love of fabrics and textile from her mother. In her 20's she began exploring quilting through beginning classes. In 2015 Connie became a Certified Instructor for Judy Neimeyer Quilts. She teaches several classes at ACME Fabrics in Blair.

November 29, 2021 My Quilt Journey and Trunk Show by Ilene Bartos, Urbandale, IA Ilene Bartos, designer and national speaker is a skilled applique teacher. Her work hand dyed fabrics, silks and the addition of copper and beads makes her art pieces unique. October 25, 2021 Adventure with 60 Degree Triangle Quilts and Hexified Panel Quilts by Elizabeth Granberg-Jerome, Baldwin City, Kansas Liz is a designer, teacher, custom quilter and owner of Gypsy Dreamer Quilts. She made a name for herself by creating the Hexified Panel Quilt, which is a twist on the One Block Wonder technique. Hexified Panel Quilts use seven quilt panels. June 2021 – Mary Mayfield, Omaha, Nebraska Mary Mayfield is co-coordinator for Tanzanian Treasures, Fabric and More, a Partner Parish Mission Project of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Omaha, Nebraska. Mary makes quilts and buys and sells African fabric, jewelry, baskets, clothing, artwork, and more.
September 2018, Brenda Weeds, Bedford, Iowa Brenda Weeds shares abut her love of polka dots and how she became known as the "The Farmer's Dotter". Brenda hosts quilt retreats and develops patterns.
August 2018, Tony Jacobson, Winterset IA Tony is a nationally-known quilt designer and teacher. Many of Tony’s designs have appeared in Fons & Porter’s Love of Quilting, Easy Quilts and Quilting Quickly. Tony works with the Quilts of Valor Foundation as the Graphic Designer for their newsletter and serves on the National Quilts of Valor Foundation Board of Directors. Tony is the manager of Piece Works Quilt Shop in Winterset Iowa.

November 2017 Landscape Quilts - Alaska to Wisconsin Cathy Grier of Waukesha, WI specializes in landscape quilts. She is an award-winning quilter, author, teacher and lecturer who sets up her landscapes with the "eye" of a painter who uses fabrics for her palette. January 30, 2018 Leslie Main, CEO Country Traditions presented a program on Changes in the Quilt and Textile Industry. The presentation included new trends in fabric design and the development of new threads and printing techniques. Leslie shared photos of the way Batik fabrics are made and passed around actual blocks used to stamp fabrics.
February 26, 2018 Jennifer Dick of Harrisonville, Missouri presented Traditional Roots-Modern Interpretations. Jennifer began quilting in 1993 and in 2001 discovered a love of applique. She speaks to guilds on innovative piecing and applique. She is the author of five books. She displayed both traditional and modern quilts.
