CLUB HISTORY
Organized in Fremont, Ne. on March 30, 1982.
Programs focus on needlecrafts, history, patchwork, piecing and quilting.
Meetings and workshops feature local, regional and national instructors.
Prairie Piecemakers supports the Nebraska State Guild Preservation Project.
A silver level sponsor of the International Quilt Museum at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. The guild “adopted” a Pennsylvania Feathered Star Quilt (#367), 1860. As a supporter of the International Quilt Museum Building Fund, the guild is recognized on the major donor wall and guild donor wall of the IQSC Museum which opened in 2008. Members volunteer to care for the center’s quilt collection.
Host a quilt show every other year with members constructing and raffling a quilt.
