August 31,2026          Scott A. Flanagan                   Sampler Spree

Kicking off the August meeting with a trial run of Scott’s new lecture, “Sampler Spree.”  Sampler quilts are one of Scott’s absolute favorites to make, and he has pulled together a fun trunk show of different styles, colorways, and old favorites he has made over the years.  Plus, a few stories alone the way.
If you have finished a sampler that Scott has designed, bring it for show and tell and Scott will have a little prize for you.

She still loves making garments and dyeing and painting fabric—and believes that’s the beauty of quilting: everyone can find their own bliss.

October 26,2026        Mary Honas                Finished! Strategies for Getting UFO’s Done

Mary joins us from Kansas and says teaching is “what I love best.  I love seeing the light bulb go on with beginners and more experienced quilters who are looking for tips to become more precise.”  She considers herself a “contemporary” quilter using any technique that gives her the results closest to her vision of the final product.   Mary will share completed projects and stories of new UFOs that made the cut to stay on the list.  Hear suggestions for how to get things done.
